Meeting between Job for Arabists and the management of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center in Dubai
Dubai, UAE – September, 2024: As part of a program to develop business relations with UAE government and parastatal companies and organizations, a Job for Arabists strategic communications agency team held a meeting with the management of the Geikh Hamdan Bin Mohammedu Centre for the preservation of the country's ethnographic heritage of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre in Dubai, chaired by its CEO Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook. • Poetry evenings are events that reinvigorate and sustain the tradition of Nabati folk poetry, bringing today's generation a better understanding of cultural heritage through literature and folklore.
• Arabic dinners, date festivals and coffee traditions form important aspects of Emirati hospitality, showcasing how deep and vital the customs surrounding food and drink are in the community.
In the course of the meeting, the prospects of interaction between the Russian-speaking community in the Emirates and Arabists were discussed along with the calendar of events planned by the Centre for 2024-2025, as well as the potential opportunity of translating the books of Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of the Centre, into Russian. Dedicated to various aspects of the Emirates' cultural heritage, these books will help Russian-speaking audience to gain a deeper understanding of Emirati history and traditions, as well as contribute to the strengthening of cultural ties between the UAE and Russia.
